Highlights in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Foils are precision work: they lift more than painting and put brightness exactly where you live with it — the parting, the hairline, the pieces that frame your face

I place them for your head, your part, your cowlicks — not a diagram. That's the difference between highlights that grow out gracefully and highlights that grow out striped

How I work

  1. Placement plan

We decide partial or full, and I map where the light should sit based on how you part and pin your hair on a normal day — not how it's styled for the chair

  2. Foiling

Fine, consistent sections. Babylights where you want subtlety, bolder weaves where you want contrast. This is patient work and I don't rush it

  3. Tone decides everything

Fresh foils are raw material; the toner turns them into your color. Beige, gold, cool — chosen against your skin in daylight, not under salon bulbs alone

Questions I hear about highlights

Partial or full — how do I choose?

Partial brightens where it shows: the top, the parting, around the face. Full works through the underneath too, for when you wear hair up or want lightness everywhere. If you're unsure, I'll look at how you actually wear your hair and tell you which one you'd notice

How light can I go in one visit?

It depends on what's on your hair now — virgin hair lifts predictably, old color fights back. I'll tell you at consultation what one session gives you and what needs two. I don't push past what your hair can take

Why does my blonde turn brassy between visits?

Lightened hair drifts warm as toner fades and water does its work. A tone refresh between full appointments keeps it where you want it — quicker and kinder than re-lightening
